GREEK CONFERENCE 05-06: Intoxicating
News Release
For Immediate Release
Madison WI — Greek ñ, ñ Christian Fellowship USA’s ministry to fraternity and sorority students, announces an “intoxicating” lineup of student conferences for the 2005-2006 school year.
“The desire for an intoxicating life has never been stronger than it is in the world today,” says Greek ñ Executive Director Andy Dalton. “We look for it in adventures, relationships, substances, sports, careers, possessions, and entertainment. But so often, we miss the most intoxicating, transformed life possible found in Jesus Christ!”
This year Greek ñ is dedicating three different weekends in three different locations to sharing this news with Fraternity and Sorority students across the country.
> November 18-20, 2005 in Los Angeles, CA
> February 3-5, 2006 in Indianapolis, IN
> February 17-19, 2006 in Charlotte, NC
Greek conferences are the largest ñ student event outside of the triennial Urbana Student Mission Convention. Delegates will attend workshops that will focus on the values that affect the choices they make, growing and developing their spiritual lives, learning how to share the Christian faith with other Greek students, and considering how faith will shape their after-college career.
Since 1994, 7000 Students from 120 Campuses in 30 States have participated in Greek conferences. Last year 950 students attended the Greek conferences in Indianapolis and Charlotte. With the additional west coast conference this school year, Andy Dalton expects a total of 1300 students will participate.
GREEK ñ also extends an invitation to volunteers who would like to assist in operating the conferences. Alumni are especially encouraged to come and reconnect with ñ and Greek Life.
ñ is a national ministry working on 564 U.S. college campuses. ñ believes that men and women on U.S. university and college campuses, transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, can transform the world. ñ is committed to reaching the whole university with a faithful witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
