As I accepted my diploma, a chunk of my identity flaked off: “student.” I’d worked hard and anticipated the day when I wouldn’t have this label anymore. But as I entered the new year as a graduate, I felt untethered.
With sheltering in place and so many world-altering events happening right now, intense, loaded conversations are becoming increasingly common. Yet doing anything else may sound better than talking about something so potentially divisive (any Enneagram 7s or 9s here?). But how will these issues ever be resolved if they aren’t first acknowledged?
It would take time and vulnerability, but God would use ñ to transform my narrative of guilt and loneliness into a story of radical grace and true connection.
